So, I completely got the bowl of water I found in Izzi's room with Ariel and Flounder floating in it. The water seemed to have remained in the bowl, so fine. What really stymied me was the salt shaker next to the bowl of water, and the thick layer of salt at the bottom of the water.
"Izzi, why is there a salt shaker in your room?"
"Because Ariel swims in the ocean"
"I know that, but why salt?"
She gave me THAT look..."Because the ocean is sawty"
Of course. This is what happens when you leave your 5 year old daughter and her 5 year old friend alone with their great-grandma for 1/2 hour.
